Personally, service is ingrained. Professionally, I've developed and managed budgets, led people and teams to execute mission, and truly appreciate the power and impact of building relationships with integrity and commitment - it all begins with relationships. Importantly, community and service are what make every community special. I've served and led many boards and their missions, and that experience has taught me the power of protocol and enforcement, as well as how to get results with respect and compassion.

My top three priorities are continued fiscal responsibility, public safety, and transparency. As Fargo continues to work within a balanced budget every year, it's on us to communicate the options, decisions and impacts every step of the way - and do better. How everyone sees public safety is central to every elected official and our daily lives. We need to ensure community policing involves the community, and we are transparent with facts. Central to all is how the city includes you - and that beings with more engagement, not less. I will always advocate for more.

Our opportunities will be determined by how we manage our growth and challenges today. We need leadership that truly understands strategy and how to execute it, and my experience and track record prove I am ready and know how to get results.

Fargo's Incentive programs have had a 40-1 return on investment, and I support the measurable and factual results. As Mayor, we need to continue to work with our FMWF Chamber, the EDC, county, schools and parks to ensure those who pay, our taxpayers, know our collective parameters for responsible goals as a region to continue to add value to our current and future tax base for everyone.

Collaboration with the member organizations the city belongs to is critical. We need to elevate and support the work of the Chamber and EDC, as well as serve as an example as an employer.

As Mayor this will absolutely be one of my first activated priorities. The MetroCog study needs to get off the dusty shelf and be activated. Fargo staff need to know it is apriority, and we need to bring the right local players to the table to define and implement practical recommendations. We also need to intentionally and sincerely build relationships with all of our area legislators, not just on this issue but all, and coalesce on how we impact policy and legislation that is best for all Fargoans.

Public Safety is one of our most important responsibilities as an elected official. As our new Police Chief is selected, I will build on the advancements made in technology, staffing, policy and wellness, and support the future innovation that will be essential fiscally and practically.

I will respect the will of the voters, and ahead of that decision, I believe it is important that our city understands all implications of the change, including the costs to the citizens.
