Dilworth City Council

  • I have business experience as the general manager of a local business. I understand how to be fiscally responsible, and believe the government should operate more like a business.

  • My top three priorities would to ensure that we are being fiscally responsible with our tax dollars. I think we need to be more transparent with the citizens in how the city is operating and what their plans are. I also think it needs to be a top priority to attract more businesses into the community.

  • As our community grows crime will also increase. We need to ensure that we have enough police officers to keep crime levels low. I think we need to do more to retain the officers we have, by making them feel appreciated as opposed to wasting money on outside firms to search for candidates when a promotion becomes available.

  • I think it would be worth looking into giving local businesses tax breaks and incentives in order to retain and attract new businesses and bring new jobs to our city. Reduce local government interference and make it easier for people to conduct business in our community.

  • I think the city can help bring more housing to the community by giving tax abatements on new homes, as well as reducing the amount of special assessments being passed on to home owners. We can also find ways to help attract more businesses into the community to also make more people want to move to our community.
