Q&A with Brad:

  • I am a Republican because I support lower taxes, keeping spending in check, keeping government regulation at bay, and encouraging economic growth. I believe in these principles so much that I felt it was time for me to do something serious and that serious thing is running for the House. I bring to the table real experience in business, acumen in the negotiation of disputes, and a firm belief that government intervention usually causes more problems than it solves.

  • I am very involved in the medical issues that we have in North Dakota. I work closely with hospitals and physicians on a daily basis. I am a member of and former officer in the North Dakota Society of Healthcare Risk Management. I have been an officer and scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts. I’m currently serve as a board member in a Fargo based international charity Join Hands North Dakota, and was an office in the Clay County American Cancer Society. I also served on the Moorhead Park Advisory Board for six years.

  • District 11 is a great district. Great things are happening, such as the new development at the old K-mart block. Most people who live here are good hard working, honest, people who make their own way in life. I want to keep it that way.

  • My top priorities are lowering taxes, keeping state spending in check and reducing needless regulations.

  • Our region’s workforce issues are problems that were not caused by the state. Likewise, the solutions do not lie in the hands of the state. While the state can reduce taxes and regulations and thereby help businesses, the federal government needs to stop the reckless spending of money. But given the history of this congress and administration, I don’t see that happening until after the November elections. It will take some time for the economy to stabilize from the dollar inflation that we currently see.

  • I support tax reduction, holding the line on state spending and reducing regulation. These are the primary tools, that actually work, that will help job growth and investment in the FM/WF area.
