Q&A with Carter:

  • I'm running for the state legislature to represent the people of my district and fight for issues such as individual liberty, constitutional integrity, lowering property taxes, and protecting the integrity of our elections.

  • I have held a number of professional and personal leadership positions, and served a year on the NDSU Student Senate. I've learned to fight for what's right, and work for the people I represent.

  • One challenge that affects every member of my district is the economic pressures we face due to inflation, and one way I intend to relieve those pressures is to fight to lower property taxes.

  • My top priorities are protecting individual liberty, lowering property taxes to ease inflationary pressures, and preserving election integrity.

  • At the state level, I will support free market policies that allow companies to thrive.

  • I believe it is best to leave local issues up to local authority, when possible, and support local and individual autonomy from an economic standpoint.
