Dilworth City COuncil
-
Spending 14 years of my life self-advocating for my healthcare at the VA; spreading my own experiences to assist other veterans with their health care; becoming a planning and zoning commissioner and being involved in the future expansion of Dilworth. Life.

Housing both new and existing
Reasoned city growth
Minimizing government financial waste and taxpayer burden
-
Dual issues of inflation and lack of affordable housing. By working with all sides: builder, investor, and buyer / tenant to ensure everyone benefits from a proposed construction. Due to inflation, existing tax burdens have risen substantially in the past five years, I would analyze and propose changes to lower governmental spending and/or increase efficiency to mitigate these increases.
-
Business: Tax Abatements; Including businesses in the development of city codes to better facilitate new constructions, incentives to expand or relocate to Dilworth.
Workforce: Tax reductions for new constructions and / or special assessment abatements. Providing affordable housing units for a variety of salary ranges. -
Local government is frequently the final hurdle for a prospective builder. Building Permits, Inspection Requirements, and Code Compliance Inspections all cost builders money, and slow the building process. I would endeavor to ensure a quick-as-practible turnaround time to minimize the red tape a construction requires.
