Q&A with Kyle:

  • I’m running to continue my work in the areas of childcare, education, and workforce development. We know these three are interwoven and are critical to the continued growth of our region.

  • As I mentioned earlier my full-time job as the Executive Direction of SEEC. I work with 36 school districts region wide. They come in all different sizes and demographics. Understanding the challenges of what kids bring to school and the supports needed to educate them is valuable insight as a legislator .

  • I believe childcare is the biggest challenge. There is no silver bullet, but we do know if we can’t attract workers then we can’t expand access. The need to increase wages will need to be solved.

  • 1) Childcare 2) education funding 3) addressing property tax increases

  • I would support investments that expand access and affordability to childcare. I would also support investment into technical education.

  • I support funds that can be matched to invest in quality childhood.
