Q&A with Michelle:

  • It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve my neighbors in south Fargo in the ND House of Representatives. I believe the 2023 legislative session will be a very important one for our state’s future, and there is still work I would like to accomplish to positively impact residents of our city and state.

  • My experience as an educator, small business owner, mother, and legislator have prepared me to continue serving my neighbors in the ND House of Representatives.

  • I’m focused on improving kitchen table issues such as the affordability of childcare, groceries, and housing. I will work with other leaders to further improve our state’s economic health through cutting taxes and putting more money back into the pockets of everyday North Dakotans.

  • Strengthening early childhood education, improving behavioral health, and providing greater access to quality, affordable childcare.

  • Currently, I am working with the Governor and other legislators on a North Dakota Childcare Initiative for working parents that focuses on improving the affordability, availability, and quality of our state’s childcare. This impacts our young working families and will attract other workers to our area.

  • I support income and property tax cuts to improve our state’s competitiveness. I also am proud to support the Red River Water Supply Project and if reelected I will continue to be an advocate for that vital infrastructure project for our region.
