Dealing with illegal immigration and the crime that comes with that.

Our local law enforcement's hands are tied when it comes to deporting illegals. Unless we have a change in administration federally, I don't see any way of dealing with this problem. The states need to have the right to deport these people without federal interference.

I believe it is the job of the employer to attract, develop, acclimate, and retain employees.

I do not. It is not the responsibility of the taxpayers to attract and retain businesses. Businesses, large companies, and huge corporations should be able to pay their own way.

The biggest problem we have is inflation right now. If we allow people to keep more of their own money, by cutting taxes and our budgets at the local, state, and federal levels, people would better be able to afford homes as well as childcare. State funding for these issues is just a band-aid. We need to fix the problem.

I believe that some of these are necessary for the betterment of the people as a whole. I would have to see the costs vs. benefits for some of these projects. Often times I feel more money is allocated than actually needed. We don't always have to build to compete with the Taj Mahal, and we could provide the necessary improvements with less money.

It depends on what you mean by strategic projects/initiatives. I am not for just handing out taxpayer money for someone's pet project or for special interest groups.
I'm for giving some of that Legacy Fund money back to the taxpayer.

I support the elimination of property tax. The state of North Dakota can and will fund the budgets of the towns, counties, and cities. There are plenty of cuts that can be made at the state level to fund this. Give the taxpayer back some of his hard-earned money and let him spend it the way he would like. Perhaps he would then have money to make a downpayment on a bigger home, or perhaps pay childcare.
