Dilworth City Council

I have been in the wholesale business for 29 years, 23 years with Johnson Brothers of ND, and a Manager for 22 of those years. Managing people, relationship building, problem solving, setting & achieving goals, along with working as a team while maintaining productive relationships internally and externally. All of these attributes are those required in my opinion to effectively serve on the City Council.
-
Making sure our city infrastructure can keep pace with the needs of our growing community. Road maintenance and repair, snow removal, street sweeping, sewer and water.
Safety of the citizens of Dilworth, A strong police and fire department.
Making sure that as our community grows, we must offer residents more options for family entertainment, recreation, parks, small business opportunities and continue to attract larger businesses.
-
Keeping existing jobs and businesses in Dilworth and attracting new businesses and jobs to the community.
Maintaining a safe community for our residents and businesses.
Promoting business and job creation in the community and having the infrastructure, safety, and amenities is the key to attracting families to make their home in Dilworth.
-
Our proximity to the border of ND is a competitive disadvantage when it comes business and taxes. The business climate we are in right now appears to be much stronger per capita than our neighbor city in MN. We must offer incentives for businesses to want to come to and stay in Dilworth.

My role, if elected, would be to work with my fellow council members to address any housing concerns as they pertain to the city. There is no blanket statement or policy that "solves" this problem that can be addressed with this question.
