Q&A with Ruth:

  • I am running for re-election to continue working hard on behalf of all North Dakotans. We have accomplished a lot within my first four year term, I have introduced new laws that focus on human trafficking prevention and awareness and a missing persons database. I would be honored to earn your trust, support, and vote, to continue serving the people of North Dakota for four more years.

  • My lived experience as a lifelong North Dakotan, a small business owner and community advocate, have well prepared me to continue to stand strong in my values in being called to serve. Having two legislative sessions under my belt within my first four year term, have well prepared me to continue building off this very important work to improve the lives of all North Dakotans.

  • Infrastructure needs within Horace. I will work to collaborate and partner with existing and new key stakeholders, including the most vulnerable voices.

  • My top three priorities will be what the District 27 constituents share with me as their top three priorities. After going door to door since mid May, the top three priorities I have heard from voters at their doors are; 1) Property Tax/Special Assessments 2) Childcare access and higher wages for workers, 3) More funding for schools and better pay for teachers, para professionals and substitute teachers.

  • If re-elected, I will work hard on behalf of District 27 to address our region's workforce issues. I will collaborate and partner with key stakeholders to make sure the most vulnerable voices are included as we work to find comprehensive, long term solutions.

  • I support economic development tools that do no harm to anyone. Infrastructure safeguards must be in place prior to the population growth that occurs simultaneously with economic development.
